Picture windows are windows that allow maximum glass area with minimum frame width and do not open.
Fixed windows are similar to picture windows in that they also do not open, however the frame width is slightly wider (resulting in less glass area) to match the width of the sash of an awning or casement window set within the same frame. (See Photos)
